Sara has always had a passion for caring for others while promoting health and wellness. As a young person Sara worked or volunteered in healthcare settings including nursing homes, doctor’s offices and pharmacies. It was during this time that she began to explore alternative modalities for health. Because of her personal philosophy about staying healthy, her very positive experience with acupuncture opened the door to new possibilities. After several years of receiving acupuncture as a patient and studying Chinese Philosophy, Sara felt there was definitely a connection between this approach to medicine and her personal convictions about good health. It was then that she decided to study Chinese Medicine and become a practitioner herself.

Sara and her husband Aaron Sas own Holistic Traditions Acupuncture and Healing Arts Clinic in La Jolla. She gives educational talks as an acupuncturist and herbalist at their office and locally to educate the public on specific health related topics. She and her husband have also operated a holistic health booth at the La Jolla Farmer’s Market since it opened, providing chair massage and health information. They take great pride in being a part of the La Jolla Open Aire Market and as an integral part of the La Jolla community.

Sara attends numerous educational seminars about acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, yoga, and Eastern Philosophy. This keeps her current and inspired in her practice. She is a concerned, caring and compassionate practitioner who wants to know as much as she can about treating her patients in the best way possible. Being a business owner, a mother and having years of experience in the health care field, Sara is highly regarded in her profession.
